PRINT: DESIGNPREIS RHEINLAND PFALZ IDENTITY

With my favorite partner in crime Christoph Toeffy Schulte we created the visual identity for the Design Prize Rheinland-Pfalz 2008 hosted by Descom - Designforum Rheinland-Pfalz. The institution hosts an annual Design Convention discussing the newest developments and trends in communication design. This years topic dealt with good and bad taste and how to cooperate with designer and client.

Our concept is based on two cartoon characters impersonating the client and the designer. For the biennial design prize given to designers from German state Rheinland-Pfalz we reduced coloring and characters to a minimum of black, grey and a special gold color.
My work involved designing a 60 page booklet containing this years award winners. Further we created invitations, two posters with informative backsides, certificates and displays and banners. Toeffy also animated several clips showen at the award ceremony.
